Steve has enjoyed a distinguished career in organizational leadership spanning over two decades. He has served in institutional administration and business consulting, leading transformational development through cultural leadership, recruiting and retaining talented professionals, and empowering them to accelerated levels of performance. Steve worked in private education as Director of Athletics for 18 years, expanded to Institutional Advancement, and ultimately served as Head of School. His visionary leadership facilitated a growth mindset and transformational experience within each organization. 

Steve's expertise in athletic management was demonstrated through visionary guidance, fiscal responsibility and fundraising through strategic partnerships, unique brand marketing, as well as policy and procedural restructuring. Those skills contributed to developing a team and equipping them to carry out successful operations, closing communication gaps, and offering clarity in best practice to include oversight of academic alignment, enrollment management, change strategies, human resources, professional learning, public relations and communication, and productivity throughout the organization. With a deep understanding of the complexities of change leadership, he has successfully guided numerous organizations through periods of significant transformation, helping them to adapt to new challenges and capitalize on opportunities for improvement.

Steve currently serves at High Point University as Director of Special Projects. He was born and raised in High Point, NC. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from UNCG, earned his M.S. in Sports Management from HPU (2007), and completed his doctorate work in Organizational Leadership at Southeastern University in Florida. Steve and his wife, Becca, are blessed with 3 boys: Isaac (and wife Allie), Micah (18), and Thaddeus (13).
